BETTER CARE FOR OUR VETERANS

Earlier this month, House Committee on Veterans' Affairs Chairman Rep. Mike Bost and I held a Veteran Service Organization Roundtable in the 41st District. We released a joint statement this week about the many concerns that were raised by veterans and VSO representatives:

“On October 16, we met with local veterans and Veteran Service Organizations at the Palm Springs Air Museum to address critical issues in veterans' health care. Listening to veterans share their struggles with referral delays and inefficiencies at the Loma Linda VA, and the lack of accountability among senior VA leaders underscored the urgent need for veteran-centered reforms to hold failing leaders accountable. That’s why we’re leading H.R. 2478, the Restore VA Accountability Act, to bring accountability back to VA nationwide, for good.

Together, we are fighting to create a health care system that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and respect for those who have served our country. Veterans gave their all for this nation, and it is our duty to honor that sacrifice by building a system that meets their needs no matter what.”

CAST YOUR BALLOT

Election Day is right around the corner on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Starting today, Riverside County voters are able to cast their ballot at one of the 150 vote centers located throughout Riverside County. Residents can vote in-person or return their completed vote-by-mail ballot at these vote centers. Voters are not assigned to a specific location and may cast their ballot at any available vote center. You can find a list of vote center locations by clicking here.

Eligible residents can also register to vote or update their registration at a vote center. In addition, any registered voter may opt to mark a paper ballot or use a touch screen, which is an accessible voting unit available at all vote centers. The voter then casts their ballot into the ballot box or scans their ballot into a ballot scanner.

For voters who wish to return their vote-by-mail ballots at a drop box location, the Registrar of Voters has 106 official ballot drop-off locations throughout the county. Drop will remain through 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can find a list of drop box locations by clicking here.

If you have already mailed, dropped off or otherwise cast your ballot and want to confirm its status, you can sign up to track your ballot by clicking here.
