🏥 Marketplace Open Enrollment: 2025 Plan Year Resources
November marks the start of the 2025 Marketplace Open Enrollment season! This period offers families and individuals a chance to select affordable, quality health coverage, effective January 1, 2025. During the last open enrollment, over 21 million individuals secured plans—let’s ensure even greater impact this year!
Key Dates: November 1, 2024: Open Enrollment opens.
December 15, 2024: Last day for January 1, 2025 coverage. January 15, 2025: Open Enrollment closes (coverage begins February 1).
What's New for 2025:
Improved Health Plan Access: Find plans offering "easy pricing," with some services covered before meeting a deductible. Enhanced language and accessibility features also make enrollment more inclusive.
DACA Eligibility Expansion: DACA recipients can now enroll in marketplace coverage and apply for financial support to pay for premiums. This step forward supports coverage for immigrant communities, though it faces ongoing challenges. We'll continue to advocate for equitable access.
Enhanced ACA Subsidies: Recent affordability expansions mean more people can find coverage within their budget. If these subsidies are not extended beyond 2025, premiums could spike by 102% in some areas.
Plan Selection Tips: Use healthcare.gov to access official marketplace options and avoid “junk” plans. Navigate directly to your state’s marketplace and find assistance tools to help compare plans and select the right coverage. |
