I'm excited to announce that our 18th annual Ward 6 Brickie Awards are set for Thursday, Dec. 5! Please mark your calendars to join us from 6 to 8 p.m., and stay tuned to my social media, website, and newsletter for more info. We'll be announcing the location soon!

But, before we get to the celebration, a reminder that the nominations for our annual community awards come from you! Which neighbor or neighborhood business has gone above and beyond? Who's been doing great work in our community for years? Do you know someone who works for the DC government who's been a shining star for Ward 6? 

Send in your nominations now! Every year, we get hundreds of nominations, and the stories are always incredible insights into the many wonderful, and sometimes unseen, people in our community that make this such a great place to call home.

Your next step is easy: Nominate the people or groups you believe deserve recognition this year. And, yes, the awards are real bricks — uniquely crafted to celebrate extraordinary contributions!
