The Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordination Board will meet online and at the Rhodes Center, 5th Floor Conference Room, 949 Market St, Tacoma, WA on Wednesday, November 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Meeting highlights include:
- A presentation and discussion about 2025 legislative session plans and priorities. Staff will share information about the build-up to the 2025 legislative session and lead a discussion to inform priorities. Staff will ask Ecosystem Coordination Board to review results of a recent prioritization exercise and decide either to recommend the existing prioritization or to recommend a change to the Leadership Council at the December 11 meeting. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about Ecosystem Coordination Board annual work planning. Staff will provide an update on progress towards its 2024 work plan priorities and will request Ecosystem Coordination Board feedback for the 2025 work plan priorities. Presentation by Jullian Reitz, boards policy advisor at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about Sound Safe Infrastructure initiative. Staff will present an update on the Strategic Funding Team and an overview of the Safe Sound Infrastructure initiative. The Sound Safe Infrastructure initiative aims to increase collaboration and coordination to produce a world class transportation system alongside thriving ecological processes and salmon populations. Ecosystem Coordination Board members will have an opportunity to reflect on the initiative as well as provide suggestions on partners, networks, and programs to collaborate with. Presentation by Jennifer Grimm, strategic funding manager the Puget Sound Partnership, and Bebhinn Gilbert, restoration and transportation funding strategist at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about Local Integrating Organization (LIO) strategic visioning and LIO action plans. The Puget Sound Partnership and LIOs are collaborating on an effort that will clarify and strengthen the role LIOs play in the recovery system and achieving recovery goals. Staff will provide an update on recent and ongoing LIO Program work, highlighting the LIO Strategic Visioning process and a new LIO Action Plan initiative. Presentation by Harriet Booth, LIO program coordinator at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about federal policy updates and changes. Staff will provide an update on the status of priority federal policies and appropriations related to Puget Sound recovery and provide an assessment of recent and pending actin by federal agencies. Presentation by Ahren Stroming, special assistant for federal affairs at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about Environmental Protection Act (EPA) funding model. The EPA will seek input on its plans to adaptively manage the EPA funding model for effective implementation of the 2026-2030 Action Agenda and will present the guiding principles, approach, and timeline of the process for discussion and input. Presentation by Peter Murchie, manager at the Environmental Protection Agency Puget Sound Recovery National Program Office Branch.

About the Ecosystem Coordination Board
The Ecosystem Coordination Board's main role is to advise the Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council on carrying out its responsibilities, which includes supporting the development and implementation of the Action Agenda. The Board is made up of 30 members representing specific interests around the Sound.
