The role of Engineer is to ensure that repairs, maintenance of parking assets are maintained to a high standard ensuring all health and safety policies and principals are followed setting high standards within the team, supporting managers and colleagues to ensure buildings, equipment and?assets stay in good working order to ensure our customers have an excellent experience when using our service.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
  • Experience of repairs and maintenance of different parking equipment to include meters, barriers etc.
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively for the benefit of the team and citizens - using resources flexibly to maximise service response.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, inspire, motivate and lead by personal example.
  • Tact and diplomacy in all interpersonal relationships with the public and colleagues.
  • Experience of handling conflict and managing sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience? / working knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations and their application to highways activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team who are innovative and commercially focused to delver the best service we can to our customers and be part of our vision to be the first choice for parking options within the city. The maintenance officer is a crucial role to ensure that we maintain our assets by cleansing and replenishing machines with tickets, signage, litter picking and?engaging with customers. Customer care is a must in this role as engagement with the public to give advice about?the parking infastructure, apps, payment options etc is crucial in your delivery of this information.?

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
  • Experiance of providing services which are highly customer orientated.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of customer care initiatives.
  • Ability to deal with irate or distressed customers in a calm, diplomatic, tactful and logical manner.
  • Ability to carry out enhanced maintenance repairs to machinery, and operate parking equipment. Must attend and pass course provided by external suppliers of parking machinery.
  • Must be physically capable of performing manual tasks such as gritting, lifting heavy batteries in all weather types.
  • Strong self-motivation together with a flexible and committed approach to work.
