Dear Washingtonians,
Across Washington, thousands of residents have already cast their votes in drop-boxes, through the mail, and at Early Vote Centers.
If you haven’t yet voted, now is the time to make sure your voice is heard. Early Vote Centers are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through Sunday, November 3. (Please note that Early Vote Centers are not open on Monday, so if you want to vote early in person, vote today, Saturday, or Sunday.) For those voting with the ballot you received in the mail, simply drop your ballot at any 24-hour drop box, return it via USPS, or bring it to any Early or Election Day Vote Center.
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 75 Vote Centers across DC will welcome voters from morning till evening, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Remember that your voice matters. Every election season, we are reminded of the power and impact each vote has in shaping our collective future. As we navigate election season, it’s normal to feel both the anticipation and the weight of these pivotal moments. And while these times may feel uncertain, we can always be certain of our DC values.
In the spirit of sticking together and uplifting our values, on Monday, I invite you to join me, the Mayor’s Interfaith Council, and neighbors from across DC for a special gathering, Our City at Prayer: Standing Together in Faith and Hope. This interfaith service will bring us together for a morning of prayer, solidarity, and shared strength. All are welcome.

 This Saturday, the National Portrait Gallery will come alive with Mexican folk-dance performances, live music, and hands-on workshops where you can craft your own calaveras and papel picado for the community altar. Capture the spirit of la Catrina with face painting, and don’t miss the mesmerizing live video mapping projection by artists MasPaz and Guache on the G and 9th Street façade.
This free, family-friendly celebration is the perfect way to honor and enjoy the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos!
