FOUR DAYS from today, millions of Marylanders will have the chance to cast their ballots and make their voices heard in this election.
Team Hogan is fired up and ready to work our hardest to help Gov. Hogan achieve victory on Tuesday, November 5!
Gov. Hogan has poured his all into his campaign to make it to this day. I’m proud to say that the hard work is paying off. He’s TIED in recent polls, surpassed his FINAL end-of-month fundraising goal, and is more energized than ever to make his case for strong, independent leadership and putting country over party during the final four days.
Over the past year, we’ve sacrificed our time and our resources–we’ve given this campaign our all.
We’ve poured blood, sweat, and tears into this fight.
We’ve traveled to every corner of Maryland, hosted hundreds of events, met thousands of voters, shared Gov. Hogan’s message, and stepped closer to victory every inch of the way.
I can report to you today, after seeing all of this firsthand, that Marylanders are ready to vote for a strong independent leader on Tuesday.
They’re ready for a change from the constant political chaos and dysfunction–and a change from the status quo, with politicians disregarding the people they were elected to serve.
They’re ready to elect Gov. Larry Hogan to the Senate.
That’s why we continue to fight for every inch.
Fighting for that inch is what pushed Gov. Hogan to victory in the Primary Election.
Fighting for that inch is how we’ve surpassed every fundraising goal we’ve set.
Fighting for that inch is what helped Gov. Hogan close the gap with Angela Alsobrooks and become TIED in recent polls–despite him being the clear underdog in deep-blue Maryland.
Fighting for that inch is what got us to this point—and fighting for that inch is what we will continue to do over the next four days.
Despite him being the underdog, despite this being his toughest race yet, Gov. Hogan is still fighting because what is at stake is far too important to do anything else.
His fight isn’t about getting a new job.
His fight isn’t about getting a fancy new title.
His fight isn’t about defeating his opponent.
Gov. Hogan is fighting for one reason, and one reason only: to deliver results for YOU.
Maryland is at the core of who he is. Gov. Hogan fought for Maryland for eight years as governor, working across the aisle to deliver bipartisan, common sense solutions for every single Marylander, not just those who voted for him.
Now, he is fighting to bring that same type of leadership to Washington, where it is desperately needed.
You see it, I see it, Gov. Hogan sees it. The chaos, extreme division, and disconnect between our politicians and the people are growing every day.
We’re in a battle for the soul of Maryland and the soul of our country, John.
We CAN stop the chaos, the drama, and the division.
But winning this race doesn’t come easy.
That’s why we have poured our hearts and souls into this campaign.
We have knocked on doors, made calls, and rallied support.
And Gov. Hogan has made his case for changing the status quo in Washington.
He’s made his case for strong, independent leadership.
And he’s made his case for putting country over party and people over politics.
What’s at stake is too important to give anything less than our all.
Now is the time to push harder than ever before. Now is the time to leave it all on the field.
We must continue fighting for that inch.
Our future, the future of Maryland, and the future of our country, depends on it.
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!
