One of my favorite parts of election season is running into someone who is wearing their “I voted” sticker. 

If I’m in the grocery store and catch a glimpse of a fellow shopper with a sticker, I’ll give a little thumbs up from across the produce section. I’ve even been known to shout, “I like your sticker!” to a stranger as they pass on the sidewalk. And, John, if I see you out at a bar and you have your sticker on — game over. Next round on me. 

Voting feels good — we should celebrate our democracy. But right now, we also have to do everything we can to PROTECT it. And this year that means more than just voting.

Extreme MAGA Republicans pose a critical threat to our democracy. They are actively undermining redistricting reforms, electing Election Deniers, and threatening mid-decade map redraws. P.S. In my home state of Michigan, it’s the first ever presidential election with early voting. You know what this means: More Michiganders voting!! AND EXTRA DAYS OF STICKERS! And this year, the Michigan Department of State hosted a sticker design contest. The winning designs are AMAZING and are being handed out at early vote locations across the state.
