BJS is hiring two Student Trainees (Statistics), GS-1599-04, as part of its Career Pathways program. Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • developing a range of statistical products, questionnaires, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and support dissemination to diverse audiences 
  • assisting in conducting reviews and providing support for assignments of a less complex level than those handled by statisticians and mathematicians and determining the application of such data to various projects and initiatives 
  • helping perform statistical verification, including reviewing program code and conducting text-to-table checks. 

This Career Pathways position provides an opportunity to gain valuable training and work experience while supporting BJS projects that serve as the national foundation for knowledge related to the criminal justice system.
