Today is the start of Affordable Care Act (ACA) Open Enrollment, which means that DACA recipients can finally sign up for health insurance! It’s a huge milestone in our fight for access to care and we need your help in spreading the word. Here’s why —
This is the very first time since we won DACA in 2012 that hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients can access health coverage through the ACA, also known as Obamacare, thanks to a new Biden-Harris administration policy.
Everyone should be able to access and receive the care they need — regardless of where they were born, how much money they have, or the color of their skin. Today brings us closer to realizing that vision by helping to close the health care gap for immigrant communities.
Because this policy is so new, a lot of DACA recipients may not be aware of it. It's critical that we reach as many immigrant youth as possible to make sure they know about this opportunity and that they don’t wait to safeguard their health.
Friend, will you help us reach as many DACA recipients as possible today? We need to ensure that our communities have the tools and information they need to get covered. Just click the button below to share!
SPREAD THE WORD
From now until January 15, DACA recipients can easily enroll in coverage online at www.healthcare.gov, or through their state’s health insurance marketplace, by phone, or by mailing in a paper application.
We encourage all eligible DACA recipients to take a moment and explore their ACA health care options. It’s crucial for every DACA recipient to know that they can sign up starting today, so help us spread the word, friend!
