Voter Turnout Tops 100,000 in Wyoming
CHEYENNE, WY – As the November 5th General Election approaches, Wyoming continues to see an increase in turnout across the state compared with turnout numbers from previous election cycles. As of midday on November 1st, absentee turnout by mail and in person exceeded 100,000, which is almost 40% of the number of registered voters in Wyoming. Absentee ballots must be returned to the county clerk no later than 7:00 p.m. on November 5th to be counted.
“As the State’s Chief Election official, I continue to be excited about administering the upcoming General Election on Tuesday, November 5th” Secretary of State Chuck Gray said. “Turnout continues to outpace the 2022 General Election across the Cowboy State as eligible Wyoming voters exercise their right to vote. Voting is a crucial part of our republic, and I am proud of our efforts to ensure we are ready for election day. I am excited for Tuesday’s General Election.”
Polls for the General Election on November 5th will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Any eligible elector present and waiting to vote at 7:00 p.m. shall be allowed to vote.
