Dear John,

I hope you all had a great week and a safe Halloween! Hard to believe the snow is back again already.

This week I joined Senator Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota State Senator Lindsey Port, State Representative Kaela Berg, County Commissioner Laurie Halverson and other health care advocates for a stop of the Protect Our Care Bus Tour to highlight all the work we must do to lower health care costs.

The bus travels across America to educate folks about their work to lower costs and lend their support to local health care advocates. It was great to join them at their Burnsville stop to reaffirm my commitment to making health care more affordable and accessible to folks across the district.

I have worked across the aisle to find solutions for a day where no one will have to decide whether to buy their life-saving medication or afford basic necessities. I led the efforts to cap insulin costs at $35 for Medicare recipients, fix the Affordable Care Act’s “Family Glitch” and allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices – and millions of Americans are already seeing those cost savings.

Expanding access to health care is a real passion area of mine – it's one of the reasons I pursued public office in the first place. I’m so proud of the work we’ve done, but there is so much more to do. I’ll keep working in Congress on both sides of the aisle to lower health care costs and improve the lives of Minnesotans.

Here’s what else I was up to this week:

Hosting my 70th town hall

On Thursday, I hosted my 70th town hall since taking office. I was joined by the President of the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Jon Althoff, and it was great to talk with him about lowering costs for Minnesotans and supporting small businesses. These town halls help inform my work in Congress and I am grateful for all who listened in.

Commonsense clean energy investments

It was great to be in West St. Paul on Tuesday to mark the installation of new solar panels at the Northern Service Center. I was proud to work with Dakota County leaders to help make this project a reality, and I’ll keep working to bring commonsense clean energy investments to the district.

Behind the scenes with Rep. Craig:

Trick or treat! Happy (belated) Halloween from some of the great members of my team – hope you all had a fun Halloween.
