The Final Push Begins Now! 

Today, November 1st, is the last day to vote early in Arizona. This election season, the Arizona AFL-CIO has been on the ground, mobilizing voters across the state, and we're down to the final days. If you haven't cast your ballot yet, visit Arizona.Vote to find your nearest polling location or ballot drop box and make sure your voice is heard!

Here's what we've accomplished so far:

• 6,022 union voters reached through phone calls and door knocks 
• Hundreds of union-led canvassers launched each week across Arizona
• Thousands of union members and their families engaged in direct conversations on the importance of this election 

We have until Tuesday, November 5th, to ensure every union voter's voice is heard. Between November 2nd and 5th, we're gearing up to reach 25,000 more doors and make 100,000 more calls to union households. To reach this milestone, we needs all hands on deck! Respect Hotel Workers, Pledge to Stand in Solidarity

Approximately 40,000 hotel workers have union contracts up this year across the United States and Canada. Join us as we demand the hotel industry respect workers and guests!

This is a difficult time for many, and it’s important that we come together as a community to offer support in any way we can.

LCLAA National, LCLAA Central Florida Chapter, have joined Giving4Hope to help to collect donations for crucial relief items like canned goods, baby formula, and cleanup tools, as well as funds to assist with recovery from potential damage.

Saturday Night Live Visual Effects Workers Unionize, Win Recognition with Unanimous Support 

"Visual Effects (VFX) workers for Saturday Night Live (SNL) are unionizing with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), and have won official recognition of their union, IATSE announced Monday. The group includes sixteen VFX Artists and VFX Leads who unanimously signed cards indicating their support of unionizing with IATSE and whose labor is central to making Saturday Night Live’s pre-recorded digital shorts pop."

Sen. Bernie Sanders Talks Workers' Rights in Erie, High Stakes for Labor in Election 

"Sanders was joined by AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Fred Redmond and Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Angela Ferrito. Together, their appearance kicked off a union canvass, in which union members formed into small groups, and knocked on doors of union member households in and around the city."

Grandsons of RFK and Cesar Chavez Campaign for Kamala Harris in Phoenix 

"The grandson of labor and Latino rights activist Cesar Chavez and the grandson of former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy Sr. implored union workers in Phoenix to help elect Vice President Kamala Harris and U.S. Senate candidate Ruben Gallego."

Californians Head to Nevada and Arizona to Knock on Doors for Harris 

"The group also has more than 300 volunteers, mostly Californians, and aims to knock on more than 1.3 million doors in Arizona, the largest on-the-ground effort here by an organization not affiliated with a candidate committee, said Susan Minato, the union’s co-president."
