Hi friends! After what feels like a lifetime of this election cycle, we’ve made it to GOTV (Get Out the Vote!) weekend, and I for one am fired up about it! Here’s what I’ll be up to over the next four days: After campaigning in San Diego and other parts California the past two weekends, I’m heading out to the presidential battleground state of Michigan to get out the vote as much as I possibly can for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and for a whole host of fantastic Democratic House candidates. Here are just a few things you could do to GOTV wherever you are: - Join a virtual phone bank and call voters from home.
-
Text voters in battleground districts around the country.
- Reach out to your friends and family to make sure they’re voting.
- Post on your own social media about the importance of voting.
-
Carpool to a canvass in a battleground district or state.
You can find all that and more right here.
And of course, if you haven’t voted yet yourself – GO VOTE! In San Diego County, you can return your completed ballot to any official ballot drop box or drop it in the mail (no postage needed to vote in California!), or if you prefer, you can go vote early in person at one of the more than 200 early vote centers open around San Diego County. Get the details here.
Happy GOTV! -Sara |
