This quarterly newsletter is our way of recognizing extraordinary efforts in the First Congressional District of Texas and providing an inside look into what happens behind the scenes in the life of a Congressman.

When I think of East Texans, I think of the Minutemen of the Revolutionary War ([link removed]) . Loyal to country and community, dependable, selfless, and ready at a moment's notice, the Minutemen were American heroes who helped turn the tide of the Revolutionary War. Today's East Texans reflect those traits. You are patriotic, dependable, and deeply committed to making our communities better.
Each quarter, I will recognize an East Texan who has gone above and beyond in serving our region - someone who epitomizes the identity of a Minuteman. In addition to recognition in the quarterly newsletter, we will send the person a Moran Minuteman t-shirt.
This quarter I had a difficult time choosing just one person to recognize. While visiting with different groups and organizations within the First District of Texas, I decided to highlight some of the wonderful people who give back so much to their communities!
Here's a look at a few of those visits!
Republican Women of Gregg County
Vision: To be an influential grassroots movement of women encompassing all generations and cultures in Gregg County, working to nurture the importance of faith, family and freedom and build strong leaders of tomorrow.
East Texans For Liberty
Mission and Purpose: To affect public policy at a local, state and national levels consistent with the core values of constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets, to attract, educate, organize, and activate people of all ages to become involved in civic affairs, preserve these values through political action, and to work cooperatively with other live-minded groups.
Cass County Republican Town Hall
Thank you Cass County and surrounding counties for your leadership and influence in the region! We had a great time seeing everyone and giving a legislative update!
GAWTP - Grassroots America - We The People
A non-partisan organization with a constitutional focus, whose mission is to advance the Cause of Liberty as rooted in limited government, personal responsibility, good citizenship, defense of traditional family values and the free market system, and return of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill fo Rights.
Conservative Republican Women of Northeast Texas
Believe in the first liberty principles in our founding documents, the Texas Constitution and the Texas Republican Party Platform.
Limited government, low taxes, election integrity, marriage between one woman and one man, 2nd Amendment rights, the abolition of abortion, school choice, religious freedom, and a strong military are a few of the beliefs that we stand on.

Mission: To protect freedom and national security from threats that impact our future. Freedom is not only a universal right, but a God-given right.

We are truly saddened by the loss of Tracy Vincent. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Donna and their family.
