The Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning will be hosting Art Wheaton from Cornell's ILR School for a train the trainer session on Lead Safe Work Practices for Homeowners.
What: This FREE four-hour class will highlight the hazards of lead and lead based paint and how to clean up and dispose of lead safely for homeowners in their own homes. Participants will be doing hands-on demonstrations of proper cleaning methods and ways to reduce lead hazards in the home. Attendees will come away with the knowledge and skills to present the information to homeowners to use in their own homes.
Who: This session is for community leaders and educators. The content of this class is not appropriate for landlords or others working around lead paint as part of a business. It does not satisfy the EPA’s Renovation Repair and Painting (RRP) requirement for landlords and businesses.
When: November 18th from 10AM-2PM. Lunch will be provided.
