Salaam John,
We know the violence in Gaza has broken hearts across our community. The policies of this administration have hurt us deeply, and we are justified in our anger. However, with only 4 days until Election Day, we must think clearly about the consequences of our choices.
While many in our community feel reluctant to support a candidate associated with the current administration, voting for Donald Trump will not punish the Democrats—it will only harm our community and embolden those who have been vocal about causing us harm.
- Electing Donald Trump would put civic, religious, and cultural institutions in great jeopardy, ushering in a new era of racism and Islamophobia.
- Netanyahu would have a blank check to escalate wars in Gaza and Lebanon.
- Trump has promised to deport supporters of Palestinian rights.
- His son-in-law has talked of building condos over Palestinian graves.
-
His ambassador has backed annexation based on “biblical prophecy.”
This election, our vote is not just a protest—it is an act of preservation for the future of Arabs and Muslims in America. If Trump wins, the danger to our people and institutions will only increase. If Harris wins with our support, we have an opportunity to fight for Palestinian freedom, dignity, and justice.
On November 5, let’s vote for a candidate that gives us a chance to end the violence in Gaza and pave the road for Palestinian people to exercise their right to freedom, dignity, security, and self-determination.
Thank you for standing with us, for our community, and for peace.
