October 2024

ADL

marked the first anniversary of the Oct 7th attack , remembering the fallen soldiers and members of the security forces as well as the civilians whom Israel lost on the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. ADL also noted that since 10/7, Israel has also endured the displacement of tens of thousands of civilians from their homes and the total disruption of their individual and communal life, and that Israeli civilians continue to experience missiles and drone attacks from all fronts on a daily basis.

In Israel, Carole Nuriel, ADL Israel’s Director, attended memorial ceremonies in Southern Israel, joining families, survivors, and communities impacted by 10/7, and Alon Kuba, ADL Israel’s Associate Director, participated in a Knesset discussion on the rise in global antisemitism.

To recognize the plight of the 101 hostages who are still captive in Gaza, ADL

ADL Reacts to Sinwar’s Killing
In response to Israel’s killing Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader who masterminded the 10/7 massacre, ADL issued the following statement: “The reported death of arch-terrorist Yahya Sinwar at the hands of an ordinary IDF patrol truly is justice served. As we have seen with the killing of Bin Laden, Baghdadi, Nasrallah, and other evil terrorist masterminds, this is a stark reminder that terror does not pay, and hate does not win. Indeed, Sinwar was covered in blood. His legacy is little more than death and despair. This outcome is an accomplishment that all people of good faith objectively should embrace.”

ADL Report on UN’s Albanese’s Antisemitism and Anti-Israel Hate
A new
[link removed]
ADL report highlighted how UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has long promoted antisemitic tropes and legitimized support of terrorism against the Jewish state, using her platform to spread anti-Israel rhetoric and dangerous disinformation.

Albanese is currently in the US for a series of speeches at the United Nations, US universities, and elsewhere. Many important voices have condemned her including leaders from Canada, Germany and France, and the US Ambassador to the UN has stated that she is unfit to serve in a UN role.
