This pandemic has only heightened the need for Americans to search for voices they can trust to cut through the noise and give them the facts about what's really going on.
You and I have long known that we cannot trust the Left or their allies in the mainstream media to present the truth -- especially on our shared values of faith, family, and freedom.
What we see daily from the Left brings to mind George Orwell's classic novel 1984. That story of a futuristic society that censors truth introduced the idea of "doublespeak," which is language that obscures, distorts, or reverses the meaning of words.
Sound familiar? A prime-time example came up on CNN earlier this spring.
In late February, 41 pro-abortion senators voted down the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
This isn't even a bill that deals directly with abortion policy. It merely prevents infanticide by ensuring that health care practitioners provide the same life-saving care to an infant who survives an abortion as they would for any other baby born at the same gestational age.
Keeping with the liberal talking points, one CNN reporter coined a new phrase while reporting on that Senate bill. Rather than accurately referring to a newborn baby who just took his first breath, the reporter said the bill concerned "a fetus that was born."
When it comes to human life, count on the Left to keep using "doublespeak" at every opportunity. To admit the truth about lives in the womb is a direct threat to their worldview.

We've seen that the Left is adept at couching their policies behind innocuous or even positive-sounding "doublespeak."
Politicians today use the language "reproductive health" to support abortion-on-demand up to the day of birth, paid for by taxpayers. In so-called "safe spaces," it's never safe to affirm principles of faith, family, and freedom that have marked American society from our founding.
If you can control the language, you control the narrative... and shape the culture. And the radical Left has been all too effective at gaining that control by infiltrating the media, schools, and Hollywood in recent decades.
Supposedly "educational" TV programs -- and, in many school districts, even our kids' curriculum -- seek to normalize sexual experimentation and LGBT lifestyles for the next generation.
Last year on publicly funded PBS, the cartoon series Arthur featured a trusted teacher character marrying his male partner. Arthur's entire class was invited to celebrate the same-sex wedding. This spring, it was announced that the next season of Sesame Street will feature a segment with a drag queen.
All the while, the Left persists in using false terms to sell their dangerous policies.
Take the Equality Act. Who wouldn't be for equality? Except in the case of this legislation, "equality" means Americans must embrace and celebrate every iteration of the LGBT lifestyle... or face the consequences.
This bill -- which passed the House last year and has received vocal support from Democratic leaders -- would essentially eliminate religious freedom for those who hold to a biblical definition of marriage as between one man and one woman.
The so-called Equality Act makes society unequal for people of faith... starting with business owners and those in the wedding industry. Heavy-handed mandates would also crack down on hiring policies and other operational aspects of faith-based organizations and churches across our land.
It's doublespeak in action -- except this isn't a novel.

In summary: the policies of the Left are demeaning to faith, dangerous to families, and -- in the case of abortion -- deadly to unborn children.
Consequential battles are playing out today in Congress, the courts, and state legislatures. Leftists are there, but those of biblical faith are, too.
