With just four days left in the election, all eyes are on Florida and Indian River County Democrats are fired up and ready to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. We’re getting out the vote through a massive grassroots effort by working hard to turn out Democrats all across the county and not taking any vote for granted. Please volunteer to support our efforts HERE.
This is going to be an incredibly close race and we are on pace to win but no one should be comfortable – it's going to take everyone digging in and focusing on what we need to do to win. We should all feel a sense of urgency. This is going to be an extremely close race. But if we put in the work – having more conversations with the voters who will decide this election like we are doing every day – it will push us over the edge. You can help by finding shifts HERE to canvass or phone banking with us.
We currently recommend that all voters with vote-by-mail ballots return them to a Secure Ballot Intake Station instead of putting them in the mail. If you experience any issues at a polling place or for voting information and assistance, please contact the Voter Protection Hotline at (833) VOTE-FLA or (833) 868-3352.
We have added candidate and amendment information as well as sample ballots and election FAQ's to our website. Locate your sample ballot HERE.
Sunday Recap
Thank you to our lead caravan and volunteer appreciation event organizers, Cynthia Carter-Lee and Karen Piazza! Thanks to their efforts, volunteers across the county were waving flags, honking horns, and showing their Democratic spirit as they caravanned and arrived at our Democratic Club sponsored volunteer appreciation taco party.
Sunday's events brought together our enthusiastic volunteers in a fun and encouraging atmosphere that fostered connections among both new and familiar faces. Many remarked on the delicious food and positive vibes, highlighting how uplifting it was to be surrounded by like-minded people advocating for a common cause. The caravan and party left us feeling energized and hopeful about our collective efforts. It is important for us to remain involved in the political landscape. Let's carry this enthusiasm into our efforts over the next four days!
In addition to our in group canvassing events, we are also pleased to now offer NEW Grab & Go Bundles every weekday! Swing by the office during office hours to pick up a bundle to canvass at a time that works for you. When you've completed that bundle, drop off your turf map and pick up another one. It's that simple!
Volunteers are needed to take shifts at our Democrats of Indian River tent located outside polling locations. Tenters will be outside to provide slate cards and answer questions for voters.
Join our online phone bank every weekdayto call voters in Indian River County from home! We will set you up with everything you need and training is provided.
The Harris-Walz campaign is hosting Harris for President phonebooks in Vero Beach. Join them almost every day for phonebanks in support of Harris for President, and down ballot Democrats. Work with other local supporters to talk to voters across the state! They will make sure you are completely prepared and trained on all of the tools. Please bring a Phone and Laptop/Tablet if possible as this will make the process a lot easier for you when calling.
Join us Sunday for an exciting day of unity and fun as we go cruising for Democrats during our caravan event for Indian County Democrats!
We’ll kick off our journey by staging at a local parking lot to bring together supporters from across Indian River County. Bring items to decorate your cars at our staging location and then wave your flags, honk your horns, and show your Democratic spirit as we caravan together, making our voices heard! Full details sent upon RSVP.
Make your voice heard and have a blast while doing it? Come on out to our high-energy Sign Waving Events for Democrats! Whether you’re a seasoned activist or just looking to show your support, these events are all about unity, joy, and making a statement. Full details sent upon RSVP.
