** Is your voting plan ready?

Unless you've been ignoring the news (not a bad idea!) or are one of our friends in Canada, you should have already made a plan for how you're going to vote in the upcoming US General Election!
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, RfA can't tell you which candidates to vote for or against, and we wouldn't dream of doing that. What we can do, though, is encourage you to look at the candidate positions, policies, and voting records and vote for those that you feel best align with Christ's radical love for all people. Whether that's LGBTQIA+ people, BIPOC, women, immigrants, disabled persons, or any other marginalized group--remembering that these groups overlap significantly--your vote has the power to tremendously impact your fellow children of God.
What we can also do is encourage prayers for all the candidates running, and specifically for the election day and poll workers. Their job is not an easy one, and increasingly an unsafe one.

** Upcoming Resource Releases

Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually, on November 20th. We'll be sharing our annual guide to observing this important date that includes ways your church can prioritize safety and belonging for our transgender siblings all year round.
Based on the symbolism of the evergreens and flowers of the season, connected to the poetry of Mary Oliver, Room for All will be releasing a weekly Advent Devotional for 2024. We'll be meeting virtually throughout Advent to follow the guide and ponder together.
