Brand New Congress has kicked off our livestream event series featuring our amazing 2020 candidates. We are discussing policy, campaigning during COVID, and importantly, the changes our candidates want to see in Congress; and we are hearing the personal stories that make each candidate so special.

Appalachian Roots Town Hall, streamed Saturday, May 9th featuring U.S. Senate candidate Paula Jean Swearengin who’s running in West Virginia to unseat Republican Shelley Moore Capito; Charles Booker in Kentucky running to replace Mitch McConnell; they were joined by House candidate Lauren Ashcraft, running in New York’s 12th district to unseat notorious corporate Democrat Carolyn Maloney. The event was moderated by BNC Communications Director, Zeynab Day.

Fighting for Peace Town Hall streamed Monday, May 11th, featuring U.S. military veterans and BNC candidates Isiah James, NY-09; Shaniyat Chowdury, NY-05; Chris Armitage, WA-05; Michael Owens, GA-13 and Albert Lee, OR-05; moderated by BNC Board President, Cory Archibald.

Primary elections are in full swing, so the excitement is definitely building for BNC and all our candidates! There are nearly two dozen candidates facing primaries over the next six weeks and in several states, thousands of voters are already casting their ballots. That’s why we are doing all we can to elevate our candidates’ profiles, reach voters by phone, and support our candidates in all the ways we can to help them win!
