John,
We've just closed the books on another Candidate and Campaign Training. This time, my team and I traveled to Minneapolis where 44 up and coming LGBTQ leaders learned how to run for public office. Over the course of four days, our trainees caught up on campaign best practices: building their future field program, developing a messaging strategy, perfecting a fundraising ask, securing endorsements and so much more.
In fact, the Star Tribune - Minnesota’s largest newspaper – ran a front page story about the training and our unique approach to helping LGBTQ people successfully run for office. You can read the full article here. [[link removed]]
I was especially excited because of the incredible diversity of our Minneapolis trainees. Fifty-two percent were people of color and 57 percent were women, trans or non-binary. These amazing trainees heard from current LGBTQ elected officials, including U.S. Congresswoman Angie Craig , the first openly LGBTQ women elected to Congress from Minnesota, and Minneapolis City Councilmember Andrea Jenkins , the first African-American openly transgender woman elected to public office in the United States.

And we're not done yet - in October, we're gathering in New York City to train another group of future LGBTQ leaders. Your donation today will help us train even more LGBTQ leaders next year! >> [[link removed]]
Thanks again for your support.
