Chuck Schumer Told University Leaders to Ignore Republicans on Antisemitism

Free Beacon: Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) quietly advised Columbia University’s leaders to “keep heads down” and ignore congressional criticism of the school’s handling of campus anti-Semitism, telling former university president Minouche Shafik that the school’s “political problems are really only among Republicans,” according to a new House Committee on Education and the Workforce report. The committee’s 300-page report stems from more than a year of interviews and over 400,000 pages of internal documents produced by elite schools like Columbia, Harvard University, Yale University, Northwestern University, and the University of California, Los Angeles. It demonstrates, by producing the private emails and text messages of university leaders, how they failed to protect Jewish students as anti-Semitic mobs seized their campuses in the wake of Hamas’s Oct. 7 terror spree. It also reveals that Schumer advised Shafik to tune out the criticism she was receiving from House Republicans (Free Beacon). Activist Shabbos Kestenbaum: This is the greatest coverup of antisemitism in American history. Jews will be voting accordingly on Tuesday (X).

JD Vance Appears on Joe Rogan’s Podcast
HotAir: Vance has proven himself on the campaign trail, and Trump has wisely given Vance the assignment to wrangle with the press. Vance runs circles around them, and everybody knows that. They fear him because he is much smarter than they are. The Joe Rogan podcast went well with Trump because he is mega-charismatic, but Trump being Trump, he was all over the place, rambled a bit, and did the whole Trump shtick you either know and love or know and hate. It was good for him but not game-changing. Vance, though, slayed on Rogan. The chemistry was immediate, the conversation fascinating, and Vance proved himself (again) to be the opposite of weird. He is a guy. Just a guy (HotAir). Chief Nerd: JD Vance on How Trump Asked Him to Be His VP. This is great (X). Charlie Kirk: JD Vance and Joe Rogan talk Trump’s Butler assassination attempt: ROGAN: “There was a lot of weird stuff to it. Where he lived was professionally scrubbed. There was no silver ware. There was nothing. No DNA. No hard drives. No nothing.” VANCE: “It is shocking that he’s alive …The whole Trump assassination is fishy. I hope we win and can get to the bottom of it” (X). End Wokeness: Harris on Call Her Daddy:

Mark Cuban: “You never see Donald Trump around strong, intelligent women”
In a span of just a few days Leftists have insulted half of Americans, disrespected millions of women. Fox News: Billionaire investor Mark Cuban claimed “you never see” former President Trump around “strong, intelligent women” because they are “intimidating” to him. The “Shark Tank” star made the remark during an appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Thursday. Cuban, a surrogate for Vice President Harris’ campaign, criticized Trump for not utilizing former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley to reach moderate Republican voters, like the Harris campaign has been utilizing figures like former GOP Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger (Fox News). Collin Rugg: Kamala Harris surrogate and billionaire Mark Cuban says there are never any “strong, intelligent women” around Donald Trump. The comment comes after President Biden called all Trump supporters “garbage.” “You never see Donald Trump around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple” (X). Libs of TikTok: Top Kamala surrogate Mark Cuban suggests “strong, intelligent women” can’t support Trump. He just insulted every female Trump supporter. So to recap: in 1 week we were called Nazis, garbage, weak, and dumb. Believe them. They hate you (X). Clay Travis: The entire Democrat closing argument is to call Trump supporters weak, dumb, garbage (X).

Colorado Voting System Passwords Leaked by Secretary of State’s Office
Katie Pavlich: Colorado’s secretary of state is a disaster. Jena Griswold became a household name as her state was the point of the lance in trying to get Donald Trump removed from the ballot based on the Left’s January 6 hysterics. Yet, Griswold’s tenure has been riddled with incompetence and mayhem. In 2022, when voter registration forms got delivered to non-citizens, that same year, the state’s ballot tracking system sent messages to Colorado voters who had already voted causing confusion, and now she’s leaked the voting system passwords (Townhall). 9News: The Colorado Secretary of State’s Office inadvertently posted a spreadsheet to its website with a hidden tab that included voting system passwords. In a statement to 9NEWS, a spokesperson for the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office said that “the Department is working to remedy this situation where necessary.” The passwords that were in the hidden tab are known as BIOS passwords and are one part of the security process for Colorado’s voting machines. They are passwords needed to configure system settings (9News). Reporter Liz Harrington: “Will you resign?” BRUTAL! This interview was a disaster (X)!  Washington Examiner: The employee responsible for inadvertently exposing passwords to Colorado voting equipment on the Colorado secretary of state’s website has been fired. While Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold did not take the blame for the incident, she said the passwords were mistakenly posted for several months and were discovered by her office (Washington Examiner).

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo Referred to DOJ for Prosecution for Covid Nursing Home Deaths
Katie Pavlich: New York’s former Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo has officially been referred for criminal prosecution after a lengthy congressional investigation into his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and his decision to force nursing homes to take in sick patients — resulting in thousands of deaths… In the criminal referral, lawmakers argue Cuomo made “a conscious, calculated effort to insulate himself from accountability.” Cuomo is rumored to be staging a political comeback with a run for mayor of New York City (Townhall). Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic: The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic is referring Former New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for criminal prosecution. Evidence suggests Andrew Cuomo knowingly and willfully made materially false statements about New York’s COVID-19 nursing home disaster and the ensuing cover-up. The Department of Justice must immediately charge Andrew Cuomo with making false statements to Congress (X).

Man Who Shot Jewish Man in Chicago is an Illegal Immigrant Who Was Apprehended, Released by Biden, Harris’ Border Patrol
Townhall: The illegal immigrant who allegedly shot an Orthodox Jewish man on his way to a synagogue in Chicago was caught at the border and released into the states last year. Authorities believed that he was specifically targeting Jews when he allegedly shot the 39-year-old Jewish man. Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, 22, is from Mauritania. He crossed into San Diego in March 2023 and was screened by border agents. They quickly released him into the U.S. (Townhall). Reporter Jennie Taer: Border Patrol noted that Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, 22, “does not appear to be a threat to national security, or public safety…” before sending him on his way with a future court date. That court paperwork, however wasn’t properly filed, so the case was dismissed (as has been the case for 200,000 others since Biden-Harris took office). He said he was going to live with a friend in Indiana. Although he told border agents in he didn’t fear being returned to Mauritania, he later filed for asylum. That case is pending. This all comes after Bill Melugin first reported that the accused is an illegal migrant (X).

Kamala In Trouble Again As Her Old Border Ideas Come Back to Bite Her
Free Beacon: Vice President Kamala Harris said during her 2019 presidential campaign that “ICE needs to be fundamentally overhauled” and called the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies “cruel and out of control.” The remarks came in response to a 2019 Democratic primary questionnaire from the Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action Fund, National Review reported. Harris also called for “much-needed oversight of ICE facilities” and “a moratorium on the construction and expansion of immigration detention centers.” Since she replaced President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket in July, Harris has portrayed herself as tough on illegal immigration, emphasizing her experience as an attorney general prosecuting transnational drug trafficking gangs and embracing elements of former president Donald Trump’s border security measures (Free Beacon). National Review: The GOP ticket talks constantly about illegal immigration on the campaign trail, and Republican spending groups have spent millions of dollars tearing into Harris’s prior campaign positions on the airwaves. Many of these GOP groups have found it most effective to simply use her own words against her, including running ads that feature old interviews from Harris saying that illegal immigrations shouldn’t be treated as “criminals” and that the U.S. should “probably think about starting from scratch” when it comes to ICE (National Review).

North Korean Troops Donning Russian Uniforms, Using Equipment to Push Back Against Ukrainian Advances
CBS: Some of the 10,000 North Korean troops in Russia are moving closer to Ukraine “outfitted with Russian uniforms and provided with Russian equipment,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said. “I am increasingly concerned that the Kremlin plans to use these North Korean soldiers to support Russia’s combat operations in Russia’s Kursk region, near the border with Ukraine,” Austin said at the Pentagon in a news conference Wednesday with South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun. Austin said it remains to be seen whether the North Korean troops participate in combat, but “there is a good likelihood” they will, given the high number of casualties on Russia’s side. One of Ukraine’s goals when it launched its surprise offensive into the Kursk area of Russia in early August was to draw Russian forces away from eastern Ukraine. That hasn’t happened in any meaningful way, according to U.S. officials. Instead, Russia has slowly been clawing back territory in Kursk while maintaining pressure in eastern Ukraine – but at a significant cost. September 2024 registered the highest number of Russian casualties in the over two-year war, according to a senior defense official. The North Korean movements could be Putin’s way of trying to defend gains in Kursk without having to endure even higher Russian casualties or order a mass mobilization, which would be unpopular in Russia (CBS). New York Post: While officials fear that as many as 13,000 or more North Korean fighters may be deployed along the frontlines, it remains unclear how effective the soldiers will be. While North Korea touts its military might at 1.2 million soldiers, one of the largest standing armies in the world, it has not fought in a major conflict since the Korean War in the 1950s (New York Post).

North Korea Tests New ICBM
CBS: North Korea launched a new intercontinental ballistic missile Thursday in its first test in almost a year of a weapon designed to threaten the U.S. mainland, days ahead of the U.S. election. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the missile test and was at the launch site, calling the launch “an appropriate military action” to show North Korea’s resolve to respond to its enemies’ moves that have threatened the North’s safety… The launch came as Washington warned that North Korean troops in Russian uniforms are heading toward Ukraine, likely to augment Russian forces and join the war (CBS). Reuters: North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile, upgrading what it called the ‘world’s most powerful strategic weapon,’ as Seoul warned Pyongyang could get missile technology from Russia for helping with the war in Ukraine (X).

Germany Closes Three Iranian Embassies in Wake of Iran Kidnapping, Executing German Citizen
Politico: All Iranian consulates in Germany are to be closed following the execution of a German-Iranian dual citizen by Tehran, Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Thursday. Jamshid Sharmahd, an opposition activist, was sentenced to death in 2020 by the regime in Tehran on terror charges. He was executed on Monday. “We have repeatedly made it clear to Iran that the execution of a German citizen will have serious consequences,” Baerbock told reporters. “I have therefore decided to close the three Iranian consulates general in Frankfurt am Main, Munich and Hamburg…”The Iranian embassy in Berlin, however, will remain open, as will the German embassy in Tehran. According to the official from the foreign office, Berlin does not want to completely sever diplomatic ties (Politico). Jerusalem Post: In 2023, Iranian authorities convicted Sharmahd of “corruption on earth” and sentenced him to death for his alleged role in leading a pro-monarchist group accused of orchestrating a 2008 bombing in Iran’s Fars province that killed 14 people and injured over 200. The announcement triggered widespread condemnation from German officials and international human rights organizations (Jerusalem Post).
