Despite a public show of support for abortion rights, the City of Beverly Hills took steps to actively prevent a reproductive healthcare clinic from opening its doors in the city — so Rob took action.
Today, we announced a first-of-its-kind judgment that will ensure Beverly Hills comes into full compliance with our reproductive rights laws, including implementing mandatory training and reporting on state and federal protections for reproductive healthcare clinics.
The Attorney General is holding the City of Beverly Hills accountable for creating barriers to block this clinic from opening and violating state laws. This is the first enforcement of California’s constitutional protection for abortion access, an amendment voters approved as Prop 1 in 2022. Abortion IS healthcare and a constitutional right in the state of California.
At a time when access to safe, legal reproductive healthcare is under attack across the country, it is more critical than ever to double down on our state’s commitment to protect those seeking and providing abortion care, and that’s exactly what the AG is doing.
This is just one of many examples of Rob’s ongoing fight to defend our reproductive freedom. If you’re with him, can you pitch in $5 or more to help reach our goal before our midnight fundraising deadline?
