During this time we want to update you on some of Mad's recent efforts to get support to workers, small businesses, and those with student loans. Here are the latest updates:
Direct Cash Payments
Together with Rep. Don Beyer, she sent a letter to House Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, with their proposal to give Americans a series of direct cash payments including $2000 for every American that would continue throughout the pandemic—a one-time check is not enough.
Because Mad knows: We must do more.
Payments to Small Businesses through the Restore America's Main Street Act
This legislation will provide direct cash payments to the smallest businesses, including self-employed folks and charitable organizations. We cannot allow small businesses—the backbone of our economy—to fail.

Emergency Assistance for Student Borrowers Act of 2020
To help relieve millions of borrowers who will struggle with payments during this pandemic, Mad is fighting to:
-Cancel monthly student loan payments
-Direct the federal government to make monthly payments for borrowers, along with a six-month grace period for both federal and private student loans
-Stop interest on any loan repayment
-Provide public and private loan relief of up to $10,000 in student loans
