Friends, 

From my “front porch” in Wisconsin, I’m seeing both tremendous efforts to put pressure on the Harris Campaign to make durable commitments to an arms embargo on Israel (noise demos at her hotel, disruptions at every campaign event) AND voter outreach from organizations like BLOC (CPD) and Metcalfe Park Community Bridges (M4BL) that will expand working-class power and stop the ascension of the MAGA Right. Thousands of canvassers are asking “what keeps you up at night, how can we together make rent control real, what is possible if we’re organized”—these are the necessary conversations that destroy isolation and disillusionment and fear. 

We must ask ourselves the same questions, commit ourselves to resist shrinking into despair or being lulled into a false sense of normalcy; staying oriented towards collective action and connected to the people around us will serve us in every outcome (Harris Win, Trump Win, Contested) over the next weeks and the years ahead. We’re going to gather on Wednesday Nov.14th at 7ET/4 PT to sort through feelings, hear from partners and update our rapid response redistribution and organizing plans based on the current conditions. 

Social movements don’t yet have enough power to achieve the world we long for and the shared abundance everyone deserves on a large scale. We are determined to build the formations and the power that will allow movements to shape the world deeply and permanently. To do so, we need to unleash a level of resourcing we haven’t yet seen. So let’s stay steady, reliable and connected RG– so glad to be in it together.

Things that went awesomely 

💪 We raised $632,000 (short of our $750k goal but this has been the best fundraising pace we’ve ever had in recent memory!)

💰 75 attendees registered for Making Money Make Change, meeting our goal!

☎️ We used an auto-dialer for the first time to spread the word about Making Money Make Change and engage our membership about dues!

🐝 Staff and members really threw down on engaging our base nationally and in chapters!

Work still to do

👽 Our membership numbers are lagging because a lot of people still need to renew!

📈 We still have $1 Million left to raise to meet our budget 

Final Call to Action

We are in a position to end this year powerfully, welcoming new members, and building new leaders. And we still need to make it to the finish line, so if you’re one of those people who still has to renew your dues or fill out the redistribution pledge what are you waiting for? Let's make sure our movements have the powerful RG they need to face whatever the next year has in store.
