John, I’ve always fought for uplifting bold, progressive, and diverse voices. That’s why I ran for office and it’s why I’m so proud to help lead the Durham Democratic Women – to ensure that all voices are heard. I especially love this part of our platform:
Diversity at the table is not our problem, it’s our promise.
Durham Democratic Women is committed to ensuring that women’s voices are heard in electoral politics and empower Democratic female candidates. This has never been more important – especially 5 days from Election Day.
Durham Democratic Women is going to spend every minute of that time doing what it takes to empower everyone to cast their vote FOR diversity on November 5. That means voter turnout events, providing resources to fund operations, even spreading our message through social media. All of it bolsters inclusion and diversity.
And John, flipping NC blue in 5 days depends on Democratic turnout in Durham. To be blunt, if Durham Democrats show up in droves, NC has a real shot at going blue!
But here’s the thing, John. We are a volunteer-run organization – many of us are parents with full-time jobs. We rely on grassroots donors to help support our efforts.
And that’s especially true when our fundraising falls short, like it is right now. We are $1,500 away from meeting the minimum we need to raise to keep the lights on.
So please, will you please split a donation of $27 between my campaign and the Durham Democratic Women to power the work of expanding diversity in our representation? >>
