During testimony earlier today before the Senate Dr. Anthony Fauci, our top infectious disease expert, urged CAUTION on those insisting on a precipitous 'return to normal'.

Fauci warned that if we move too quickly, before meeting critical safety benchmarks, we risk a renewed outbreak of the deadly virus. In response to a question from Senator Rand Paul he warned further about making 'cavalier' assumptions that our children are immune from the dangerous effects of COVID-19.

In a letter submitted to the New York Times ahead of his testimony, Dr. Fauci underscored the risks of trying to re-open pre-maturely, saying: “This will not only result in needless suffering and death, but would actually set us back on our quest to return to normal."

With more than 80,000 Americans lives lost and unemployment at its highest rate since the Great Depression, we can't afford to get this wrong.
