Hello John,
What an amazing first three days of creative and impactful action.
Let’s first take a look below at some of the actions from around the City of London, home to most of the companies still insuring new fossil fuel projects and ensuring climate breakdown. Photos from actions outside of London coming soon!
You can still get involved over the next few days at an action near you, or by supporting online with Digital Rebellion or by donating to our crowdfunder.

The first day we flooded the streets, with a theme of extreme weather events arising from climate breakdown, not realising what was about to unfold in Spain.
Then on day two the action featured haunting images of flood-ravaged homes and food shortages from the Global South and the UK.
|
Three rebels scaled the lobby entrance of the famous Walkie Talkie building in the City, home to a den of climate catastrophe insurers including Ascot, Talbot, Chaucer, Markel, Allied World, CNA Hardy, Tokio Marine Kiln, Sirius International and Lancashire Syndicates.
|
Wednesday's theatrics explore a grim future of societal collapse due to climate inaction with a representation of a 'carbon bomb' - which is any new fossil fuel project projected to emit more than a gigatonne of CO2.
|
A student-led protest outside offices of QBC and Aspen warned insurers: "Stop covering fossil fuels, or we won't work for you!"
|
Remember without insurance, major oil and gas companies cannot continue their climate-wrecking, polluting operations.
Some insurers have made the right choices, but we need many more to follow. This campaign will continue!
