Right now, Republicans are waiting to get their chance to destroy the Affordable Care Act. Their case is pending before the Supreme Court -- and if the five conservative justices give the GOP the ruling they want, 20 million Americans could lose their coverage.
That’s unacceptable. It’s made even more egregious by the fact that we’re in the midst of a full-blown health crisis that is disproportionately impacting Americans of color.
Experts told Trump to take early action on the pandemic. He failed to. Top scientists have called on Trump to extend an emergency ACA enrollment period so Americans could get coverage when they need it most. He refused to.
We can’t let this administration destroy the last protection many at-risk Americans have. We must act now to protect minority and low-income communities that will be hit the hardest by this crisis.
