On Tuesday October 29, 2024 I debated Congressman Jim Himes and the Independent Party candidate Ben Wesley.
Jim Himes made false statements or lies regarding several important facts and falsely accused me of wrongdoings that were so totally false that Jim actually made a total fool of himself.
Only a fool of a voter would vote for a fool of a congressman
Lie #1 - Jim Himes who voted against the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act because he claimed there was no due process.
This law which was passed in the House, despite Himes no vote, would deport illegal aliens who are convicted of committing violence against women or child abuse. (See More Here [ [link removed] ]).
Jim Himes claimed that he voted against the bill because it would result in the deportation of illegals accused of these act , not convicted, and therefore violates the 5th Amendment right of due process.
His argument is totally bogus meaning that he either lied as to why he voted against the bill or was totally unaware of the contents of the bill.
Either reason raises serious concerns regarding his competence in representing our interests in Congress.
Lie #2 - The Inflation Reduction Act Does Not Touch Medicare
Jim Himes brags about how he voted for the Inflation Reduction Act. This bill is a boondoggle for green energy subsidies and totally shortchanges the residents of the 4th Districts. We do not get our fair share of the proceeds from this bill despite the fact that our district pays the largest share of income taxes compared to every other district.
What is even worse is that $280 Billion dollars of Medicare drug savings is taken out of the Medicare to pay for $7,500 tax credits to EV owners including Teslas. (See More Here [ [link removed] ])
Jim Himes call this bogus. Once again he is either lying or is clueless about the content of bills that he is either voting for or against.
We should not be electing someone who is clueless about the content of bills he votes on, or lies about the content of bills.
Lie #3 - I illegally deposited dirty fill on my property.
Jim Himes claimed that I deposited dirty fill on my property.
The fill was clean and I spent approximately $7,500 taking samples and having it tested. These results were sent to the Town of Greenwich Wetlands agency and are in the public record. None of this fill was deposited in the wetlands and was in fact 50 feet from the wetlands.
With regard to the fill, Jim Himes also stated that I employed hundreds of illegal aliens bringing in fill and building my pool at the same time.
Himes is so off base because my pool was built in 1992 and all required building permits were obtained. Yet he lied and falsely stated that swarms of illegals miraculously appeared over 30 years later and somehow rebuilt a pool that was already there
He was silent about the massive tree cutting in wetlands by Governor Lamont which was a far more egregious act.
Incidentally the original builder of my pool was an Italian American and the fill was brought in by two small business owners, one of whom is also an Italian American. Sorry Jim.
As an aside, Jim also did not show up for the flag raising at Town Hall in Greenwich on Columbus Day and he and all other Democrats did not attend the Columbus Day dinner at the St Lawrence Society. All of them used to come to the event and most were in attendance last year, but not any more.
These lies, false statements and obvious incompetence by not knowing about the bills he votes on and his false accusations that have no basis in fact for the purpose of slandering , me, his opponent are all good reasons why he should not be re-elected.
