A quick but important update today.

Jared Kushner is pushing the White House to consider a scheme that would end Social Security as we know it.

Of course, it’s not even his scheme.

It was devised by a buddy of his. Who works in the State Department. Which has nothing to do with Social Security.

This so-called “Eagle Plan” would lure Americans into accepting long-term cuts to federal retirement benefits they’ve already earned, including Social Security, by dangling comparatively small one-time payouts in front of them now.

And — because the Trump administration and its lackeys in Congress have done nowhere near enough to relieve the economic desperation inflicted on our country by the coronavirus and their calamitous response to it — millions may feel forced to take this insidious “deal” if it is ever officially offered.
