It’s time again for Film|NEU, a festival presenting new German-language films from Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland!
Reserve your seat now for our first feature, the movie "When Will It Be Again Like It Never Was Before" about Josse Meyerhoff who grows up on the grounds of Germany’s largest psychiatric hospital, where the lines between his family and the patients blur. Film|NEU 2024 Short Films: NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER

The German Federal Film Board (FFA) presents the 14th edition of its annual showcase, highlighting promising young directors and outstanding student short films. This year features the NEXT GENERATION of German cinema and the winners of the SHORT TIGER Award 2024, selected from 98 submissions. These 11 short films exemplify Germany's diverse filmmaking talent and reinforce the significance of short films as an independent art form.

'Father's Sea'

Author Deniz Utlu will present his award-winning German novel 'Father's Sea' (German: 'Vaters Meer'), which explores themes of belonging, loss, love, and remembrance. He will read excerpts from the book in English. Following the presentation, artist and educator Philippa Pham Hughes will discuss the book with him and the audience.
