Today takes on an even deeper significance as we confront COVID-19. Nurses and doctors are on the frontlines right now risking their lives to fight this pandemic, and we need to be there for them. That's why I'm asking you to help me get them the protective gear they need to do their jobs safely.

In honor of the courageous nurses and other health care workers fighting for patients around the country, will you take a moment to sign my petition demanding that the Trump administration get them the medical gear and equipment they need?

Even today, we still don’t truly know the toll of COVID-19 on health care workers. The number of infections is likely much higher than current estimates, and only the benefit of expanded testing will help us fully understand the problem.

But what we do know is that the high risk of infections and deaths among hospital workers can be mitigated with adequate protective gear. So today, in honor of the nurses and doctors putting themselves on the line for us, can you take a quick second to sign my petition?
