Of all the spooky and scary things on display this Halloween, there may be none scarier than what could happen if we don’t all make our voices heard in this election—and there are just a few more days left to do so. Texans can still cast ballots early today and tomorrow. [[link removed]] The next time polls will open is on Election Day, November 5!
I feel like I say this every time, but it remains true that this year’s elections are the most important we’ve ever had. The results will determine who controls the House and Senate, who resides in the White House, and so much more. Our democracy is on the line, as are our fundamental freedoms.
I’ve seen firsthand the difference in what we can do when Democrats control the House, Senate, and White House. We have all seen this year the chaos, confusion, and cruelty that characterize the current GOP-controlled House. And we don’t have to imagine what will happen if Donald Trump is successful in his effort to return to the White House—it’s all laid out in Project 2025.
We must vote and get others to vote this year with an understanding of the urgency and the stakes.
We simply have to defend this seat, win back the House, keep the Senate, and elect Vice President Kamala Harris the next President of the United States. I am optimistic that we can make it all happen because I have seen what is possible when we work together to fight for what we believe in—but we must all show up at the ballot box.
Our team is giving it our all. And in these final days, I hope you will, too.
Vote. Remind friends and family to vote. Take them to the polls. Join us to talk with voters. Make every last moment before polls close on Tuesday count.
Together, we can do anything,
