John: 2X match opp expires at midnight Your $30 = $60 — give now >> [[link removed]]

Five days to go, and here’s where we stand: We’re working to elect anti-gerrymandering and fair-minded Democratic candidates. Our list of endorsed candidates is long — we’re supporting 229 candidates for state legislature, one candidate for governor, and 10 candidates for state supreme court in key states.

Each endorsed candidate for these state-level races was hand-picked to provide a critical firewall against Republican gerrymandering. Our state-by-state breakdown below goes into how these races are critical to protecting our democracy. And even in these last days before Nov. 5, every dollar invested in state-level races can make an incredible difference to turn out the vote.

Please chip in $30 or more — now matched to $60 if you give by midnight. Then, read on for our final state-by-state count of endorsed candidates this election cycle. [[link removed]] If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

ARIZONA

Republicans hold a two-seat majority in both the state house and state senate. We’ve endorsed 15 candidates as Democracy Defenders to win a majority in both chambers and strengthen the state’s redistricting process. Help flip chambers from red to blue this November >> [[link removed]]

GEORGIA

MAGA Republicans have enacted extreme voter suppression laws that surgically target communities of color. We’ve endorsed 29 state legislative candidates as Democracy Defenders to push back on this anti-democracy crusade. End this extreme gerrymandering >> [[link removed]]

MICHIGAN

We’re focused on unseating a state supreme court candidate who perpetuates the “Big Lie” and attended a Michigan “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6, 2021. We’ve endorsed two judicial candidates as Democracy Defenders to preserve our fundamental rights in the courts — and 18 candidates for the legislature to hold our Democratic majority. Stop extreme candidates across the country >> [[link removed]]

MINNESOTA

Democrats have the majority in the legislature, but just 321 votes pushed Democrats into leadership. Now, the state house is on the line. We’ve endorsed 28 candidates as Democracy Defenders to keep this majority and preserve our progress. Support pro-democracy leadership in up-for-grabs races >> [[link removed]]

NEW HAMPSHIRE

The Republican-led state house is considered a toss-up, and the Republican-led state senate is within reach. Mid-cycle congressional redistricting is permitted in this state. We endorsed nine legislative candidates and a candidate for governor as Democracy Defenders because we cannot let the GOP choose to rewrite their maps at any given moment. Elect leaders who will help protect our voices >> [[link removed]]

NORTH CAROLINA

The Republican state supreme court candidate said he wants to keep a GOP majority on the court for the next redistricting cycle. He supported wild gerrymanders and joined a deeply controversial “personhood” ruling, which has restricted abortion access and IVF bans in other states. Support leaders who champion Americans’ fundamental rights >> [[link removed]]

OHIO

The NDRC endorsed three state supreme court candidates — all fair maps champions who will protect fundamental rights, adhere to legal and judicial norms, and uphold the rule of law for all Ohioans. Fight for a more representative democracy >> [[link removed]]

PENNSYLVANIA

This is the only state where Democrats hold one legislative chamber and Republicans hold the other. We’ve endorsed thirty-three state legislative candidates as Democracy Defenders to help flip the state senate and hold the state house. Support progressive leadership and give more states a route to redistricting reform >> [[link removed]]

TEXAS

Democrats haven’t been elected to the state supreme court since the late 1990s. We’ve endorsed three candidates as Democracy Defenders to gain ground on the court. Support the path to the next redistricting fight >> [[link removed]]

WISCONSIN

Thanks to years of dedicated work, this movement won fair maps for Wisconsin. Now we have a real chance at flipping the state assembly and making gains in the state senate. This is our best shot in a generation — and we’ve leaned in by endorsing 90(!) candidates as Democracy Defenders. Support a legislature that reflects the will of the people >> [[link removed]]
