A NOTE FROM WILDAID’S CEO, MEAGHAN BROSNAN
Dear John,
The biggest opportunity for change on Earth is us.
That idea drives me every day in my role at WildAid as we push forward to reshape the future for wildlife and our planet. I know you feel the same.
Every time I come across a troubling statistic, like the staggering prediction that 70% of animal and plant species are at risk of extinction by 2050, I remember what we’re capable of together.
We’ve already made strides. Over the past year, WildAid campaigns have reduced wild game consumption across Africa and Asia, slashed illegal fishing in the Bahamas, Kenya, and Tanzania, and inspired millions in the U.S. and China to embrace more sustainable choices. These are just a few of the incredible results made possible by supporters like you.
But there is still so much to be done—and now is the time to act. Will you stand with us to protect wildlife from the looming threats of illegal trade, overconsumption, and a rapidly warming climate?
Through the end of the year, we’ll share inspiring stories of how WildAid is working tirelessly with people like you around the world to protect the species and ecosystems we all cherish.
And there’s exciting news: every donation made before the end of 2024 will be matched ([link removed]) , dollar for dollar, up to $300,000!
The generosity of our donors fuels our mission, and we need you now more than ever to keep this essential work alive. Make a gift to WildAid today to protect wildlife and habitats that we love ([link removed]) .
Together, we can change the course of history for wildlife and habitats, and for ourselves.
Yours for the wild,
Meaghan Brosnan
CEO, WildAid
P.S. A gift of stock or a grant from a Donor-Advised Fund offers a dual advantage. They allow you to make an even greater impact on WildAid’s conservation efforts and, at the same time, offer you and your family the best possible tax benefits.

CAMEROON’S RESTAURANTS ARE STEPPING UP TO PROTECT PANGOLINS
[link removed]
Pangolins are shy, nocturnal animals who perform vital ecological roles. These “forest guardians” consume around 70 million ants and termites a year, protecting forests and local crops from destruction. Plus, as they dig in search of food, they aerate the soil and promote plant growth.
Sadly, pangolins have become the most trafficked wild mammal in the world, with hundreds of thousands taken from Central African forests each year to meet the illegal demand for their meat and scales.
In Cameroon, a bright spot is emerging as restaurant owners join WildAid’s “No Pangolin On My Plate ([link removed]) ” campaign, pledging to keep pangolin meat off their menus. So far, 116 restaurants have joined the movement to help protect these vulnerable animals—an inspiring example of local conservation efforts at work!
WILDAID LAUNCHES GROUNDBREAKING PROJECT TO PROTECT MARINE BIODIVERSITY
[link removed]
WildAid is thrilled to announce a partnership with Global Affairs Canada ([link removed]) to protect the Eastern Tropical Pacific!
The Eastern Tropical Pacific is a vibrant and diverse marine ecosystem, vital for the reproduction, migration, and distribution of wildlife such as tuna, sharks, sea turtles, whales, and marine birds. Yet, the region faces mounting threats from illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing, which endangers ecosystems and local livelihoods.
Through this partnership, we’re bolstering marine law enforcement, enhancing regional collaboration, and supporting sustainable resource management across Ecuador, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Panama. Together, we’re working to protect marine biodiversity and strengthen the resilience of coastal communities that depend on these critical waters.

Check out this short video ([link removed]) we created to celebrate the "spooky" animals who make our planet extraordinary!
Though these creatures might seem otherworldly, each one plays a vital role in keeping Earth's ecosystems healthy. You can help protect them from threats like climate change and habitat loss by making small changes to reduce waste, cut carbon emissions, and spread awareness of their importance. Every action counts toward a safer future for these fascinating species!
