John,
Allow me to do away with the typical politician fundraising email charade and be transparent with you:
I just want your money.
It's a terrible thing to ask. Why should I be entitled to money you've worked hard to earn?
It's ridiculous that our system requires candidates to beg for money 24/7. Candidates should be talking to voters and hearing what their needs are, not selling themselves to the largest bidder.
The one part of this campaign that I can’t stand is asking for money. I’m running to serve and support you, not the other way around.
Sadly, raising money is a necessity in our current political system. In order to beat Max Miller and Donald Trump, we need to be able to buy ad time, send mailers, and spread word about our campaign. And that takes money.
This is a very tight race, and we can’t afford to fall behind on fundraising.
I'm sorry to have to ask this of you. But we need all the support we can get. Will you donate anything you can spare to help us keep pace with Max Miller?
