When a mare called Zara gave birth to a cute little baby, it was cause
for celebration! But Zara didn't recover from foaling. She was
clearly in pain. She began losing weight... and then losing more. She
nursed her baby less and less. Soon it was obvious, Zara was too weak
and sick to work.

This poor animal was suffering from an advanced infestation of
parasites. She had serious dental problems. And her feet were in bad
condition. We feared she might not survive! But friends like you
helped save her.

Zara with life-saving care, and now she and her foal are thriving once
