Trump says he will "protect" women "whether the women like it or not"
During his latest rally tirade, a rage-addled and clearly cognitively impaired Trump ignored pleas from some on his campaign team to soften his fascistic rhetoric and stubbornly vowed to "protect" women whether they "like it or not." Uh, and by "protect" he obviously means control. Stacking the Supreme Court with radical justices to overturn Roe v. Wade was simply the beginning. With Project 2025 as his playbook, there is no limit to the horrors the MAGA cult leader will unleash on women. And while Trump may not fully realize the optics, his aides certainly do. Recounting internal discussions with his team, the MAGA cult leader told rally goers: "My people told me about four weeks ago...Sir, please don't say that...I pay these guys a lot of money. Can you believe it? Well, I'm going to do it whether the women like it or not. I'm going to protect them." Uh huh. Protect.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Kamala scores huge endorsement from top Republican
Days before the most consequential election in modern American history, the former Republican governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, came out swinging for Kamala Harris with a powerful endorsement, writing, "It is probably not a surprise that I hate politics more than ever, which, if you are a normal person who isn't addicted to this crap, you probably understand. I want to tune out. But I can't. Because rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets. To someone like me who talks to people all over the world and still knows America is the shining city on a hill, calling America is a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me furious. And I will always be an American before I am a Republican. That’s why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz." Arnold wasn't finished. He rightly stated that electing Trump again would mean "four more years of bullshit with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful" before adding, "We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won't do that."

Union leader SURGES to spoil a GOP Senate majority
Dan Osborn for Senate: The Republicans thought they had the Nebraska Senate race in the bag, but now they're scrambling as the polls are suddenly TIED and the GOP is in danger of losing a critical seat that would deny them a majority — and stop them from implementing their radical MAGA agenda. A former member of the Nebraska Army National Guard, Dan rose to the presidency of his union, BCTGM 50G and led the successful 2021 Kellogg strike in Omaha, defeating efforts to slash benefits and guaranteeing the factory remain open through 2026. Now he's within striking distance of upsetting GOP Senator Deb Fischer. Will you help send a message to Mitch McConnell and his cronies by rushing a donation to Dan Osborn and putting him over the finish line?
Swing state newspaper slams Trump: "Crippled cognitively" with "clear signs of mental illness"
The Las Vegas Sun has delivered a stinging rebuke of the disgraced ex-president as polls there consistently point to a statistical dead heat. The newspaper warned in an editorial published Wednesday that not only does Trump’s "racism, sexism, xenophobia" and more make him totally "unfit for any public office" but that his "mental acuity and sharpness are also in decline." Ya think? "The nation must confront the fact that beyond his hateful character, he is crippled cognitively and showing clear signs of mental illness," the editorial board wrote, providing multiple examples of Trump’s "fragility." Looking forward to the super reasonable response the MAGA cult leader tees up, oh, any minute now...

Young mother died after being told it would be a "crime" to intervene in her miscarriage at a Texas hospital
Josseli Barnica grieved the news as she lay in a Houston hospital bed on Sept. 3, 2021: The sibling she’d dreamt of giving her daughter would not survive this pregnancy. The fetus was on the verge of coming out, its head pressed against her dilated cervix; she was 17 weeks pregnant and a miscarriage was "in progress," doctors noted in hospital records. At that point, they should have offered to speed up the delivery or empty her uterus to stave off a deadly infection, more than a dozen medical experts told ProPublica. But when Barnica’s husband rushed to her side from his job on a construction site, she relayed what she said the medical team had told her: "They had to wait until there was no heartbeat. It would be a crime to give her an abortion." For 40 hours, the anguished 28-year-old mother prayed for doctors to help her get home to her daughter; all the while, her uterus remained exposed to bacteria. Three days after she delivered a stillborn fetus, Barnica died of an infection. If this story shocks and appalls you, as it damn well should, please — for Josseli's sake and countless other women like her — remember what is truly at stake on Tuesday and send Trump and as many Republicans as possible packing. This fight is binary.

Trump nearly face-plants on a garbage truck during ridiculous photo-op
The 78-year-old fraudster was nearly bested by a garbage truck during a ridiculous photo-op yesterday in Wisconsin. Attempting to pounce on President Biden's misconstrued words the day before, the MAGA cult leader sauntered over to a trash truck aptly emblazoned with his name across the side and proceeded to barely hoist himself into the cab...dressed like a sanitation worker...just in time for Halloween. We'd say you cannot make this stuff up, but Donald is, in fact, making this stuff up and we are all bearing witness.
Betsy DeVos, who resigned from Trump’s administration on January 6, pumps money into Elon Musk’s pro-Trump PAC
The MAGA cult leader's former education secretary was the second Cabinet official to resign following Trump's failed insurrection, writing at the time, "There is no mistaking the impact your rhetoric had on the situation, and it is the inflection point for me. Impressionable children are watching all of this, and they are learning from us." The disgraced ex-president's seditious actions on that fateful day were clearly too much for DeVos...at the time. It seems she recently found yet another "inflection point" — a particularly fascistic one where fears for those precious, impressionable children are no longer a concern. Or, rather, DeVos is utterly DeVoid of principles and desperate to wriggle her way back into the con man's good graces.
Big Oil unleashes new DISASTER in Amazon rainforest
350.org: You probably won’t have heard about it, but there’s a disaster unfolding in the Amazon rainforest. The Northern Peruvian Pipeline just leaked 6,000 liters of oil into the Amazon, poisoning the ground and contaminating the lakes that indigenous communities use for food, water, and their livelihoods. To make matters worse, Big Oil’s new plans for new oil and gas development cover an estimated 250,000 square miles of undisturbed rainforest across the basin, an area that is home to more than 12 million people. Will you add your name to stand with climate activists fighting to protect the Amazon from Big Oil?
Former Republican congressional candidate in Indiana charged with stealing election ballots
Hey! Will you look at that? Ballot fraud! Again and again, as 10-year-olds the world over can attest, the smeller IS so often the feller.
Pageant queen claims Trump groped her in Plaza Hotel suite in 1993
Beatrice Keul, a former pageant queen, has come forward with claims that the MAGA cult leader sexually assaulted her in an incident at a New York hotel in 1993. Trump, who has publicly admitted on multiple occasions that one of the fringe benefits of owning beauty pageants was being able to walk into women's dressing rooms and gawk at half-clothed contestants whenever he wanted, reportedly took a liking to the 6'1" model. Keul previously won second place in the Miss Switzerland 1992 pageant and subsequently received an invitation from the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant to compete, including an all-expenses-paid trip to New York and Atlantic City. After the competition, contestants were bused to the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, where Keul eventually met the notorious sex predator. "We talked for so long that everybody was staring at us. A good 10 minutes if not 15. I couldn't believe he was so fond of me," Keul recalled. After lunch, a staff member approached her to say that Trump, who owned the hotel at the time, wanted to have a "private talk" and she was taken upstairs to a suite. "When I entered, he jumped on me. I just had time to turn. I was not prepared. I tried to do what I could to get rid of him. He kissed me on the lips and on the neck. He tried to lift my dress. He was grabbing and touching my body everywhere he could," Keul said. Exactly none of this is surprising.
Elon Musk says Trump's economic plans could cause "temporary hardship"
Hardship? You betcha. Temporary? Depends on your definition. How many years have you got to spare?
Alarming Supreme Court decision green-lights Virginia voter purge
Trump's radical, right-wing justices on the Supreme Court agreed to temporarily pause a lower court’s order that reinstated 1,600 voters to rolls in Virginia even though an appeals court found the purge of voters occurred in violation of a “quiet” period barring systematic changes to rolls so close to Election Day. The order issued Wednesday noted that Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Elena Kagan would have denied the request. There is no further explanation behind the order. Had enough? Remember on Tuesday.
