As a survivor of domestic violence, Jennifer turned pain into purpose and became a leader in her community, helping to write and pass legislation through the Florida Legislature last year to better protect victims and their children.
She has been endorsed by the Orlando Sentinel and even Mike Johnson, the local conservative activist who challenged her Republican opponent in this year’s primary.
Jennifer’s opponent, Cory Mills, first registered to vote in Florida in 2021—just before filing to run for Congress, then self-funded his way through a bitter primary campaign. He is an extremist who vehemently opposes abortion access and Florida’s proposed Amendment 4, voted against FEMA funding knowing his district was vulnerable to hurricanes, voted against funding for Israel and Ukraine, and is a frequent hard-right obstructionist in Congress.
