Like the “treat” of dental floss, MN Parents Alliance is giving tricks nobody wants this Halloween.
At least four candidates have stated publicly that they had not connected with or sought support from the Minnesota Parents Alliance before seeing their name appear on the group's online voters guide. Some candidates said they were not aware of such an endorsement until voters reached out to them with questions about it.
We know it's Halloween, but these tricks are nothing new from groups who want to confuse, mislead, and sway voters into selecting candidates backing extreme viewpoints that harm students.
As a reminder, anyone listed as a School Board Integrity Project candidate has affirmed our pledge of their own volition. Unlike the MN Parents Alliance, we do not make decisions for anyone else about their values.
With so much on the line next week, let's unmask those who want to trick voters and harm students. Make your plan to vote and make sure those you love do, too.
