Chair's Corner
Aloha Hawaii Republicans,
We stand on the cusp of a pivotal election, as we are reminded of the history of voting that stretches back centuries. Voting has always been more than a civic duty, it is an act of shaping our future and reclaiming control of OUR destiny. Throughout history, from early American struggles for freedom to moments that defined democracy worldwide, the people’s voice has set the course. NOW, our time has come to move Hawaii and our country toward a future based in integrity, resilience, and true representation.
Our lovely Hawaii has faced countless challenges, and under current Democratic leadership, we find our state caught in circumstances that do not align with the vision we hold. Lands once accessible to local families are slipping into foreign hands, and an abundance of our resources lies underutilized as we remain dependent on imports. Hawaii has the potential to be self sustainable, yet we find ourselves constrained by policies like the Jones Act, which impact autonomy and drive up costs for our citizens.
As we cast our votes, we must remember the impact this election has on our state and nation. With only six days remaining to cast ballots, every vote counts. Let’s encourage our friends, neighbors, and family members to vote Republican down the ballot, supporting leaders who will prioritize Hawaii and its people over foreign interests.
Why, we must ask, has there been such a limited or circular response from Democratic leadership regarding funds for the Maui fires? While our people struggle and many are forced to leave Hawaii, we see taxpayer money sent to support causes outside our state, while local needs are overlooked. Leaders, like Mazie Hirono, have had their opportunity, and the time has come to bring in fresh, proactive representation committed to the prosperity and well being of Hawaii. Where we put Faith, Family, and Freedom first.
As Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It has to be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” This is our moment to protect our freedom, our way of life, and our children’s future and safety.
If you have already voted, Mahalo! Now let’s go a step further and help ensure every legal ballot is cast and every voice is heard. Let’s strongly encourage those who may need help getting to the ballot box or the voting process and assist where needed. Let’s make a stand for a new era for Hawaii, built on values we share with self-reliance, transparency, and dedication to our people.
Together, we can achieve a brighter future for Hawaii and our country. Let’s get out there, make a difference, and build the Hawaii we know is possible.
With determination,
Tamara McKay

Voting In-Person at the "Voter Service Centers"* is the best possible way to vote in the 2024 Presidential Election. Ideally, precinct voting on one day is the best, the most transparent and the most secure process, but is not an option in Hawaii this year. Make your vote count, vote on Election Day, in-person. If this is not an option, vote as close as possible to Election Day, in-person. If your only option is a mail-in ballot, send it as close to Election Day as possible.
Until we get back to the convenience of precinct voting (i.e. in your neighborhoods), you must be prepared for the possibility of long lines; bring water, a snack, an umbrella, and something to occupy your wait, like a book. Remember why preparing this way is necessary - the Elections Office has made this process less convenient for You to vote in-person by replacing your precinct voting, that accommodated only folks who live in that precinct, to voter "service" centers not in your neighborhood.
If the thought of doing voting in-person on Election Day, in manner stated above, seems inconvenient, please reconsider this reality; American soldiers died on battlefields for your right to vote. A little inconvenience to secure your vote, your freedom and your rights seems reasonable.
Thank you in advance. Now get out and vote!!!
