[ [link removed] ]McConnell tells Obama to ‘keep his mouth shut’ after Trump criticism
Did we really need another reason to ditch
Mitch?

Yesterday the Senate majority leader trashed President Obama, calling him
“classless” and telling him to keep “his mouth shut.”

What prompted McConnell’s tirade? A private remark President Obama made
last week—describing the pandemic response as a “chaotic disaster.”

President Obama was right. But let’s get a few other things clear:

First, Barack Obama doesn’t need a lesson on class from Mitch McConnell or
anyone else.

Second, McConnell’s words drip with condescension and disrespect all too
familiar to African Americans of every era.

Third, the most classless president in modern memory sits in the Oval
Office right now.

Donald Trump began his rise—make that “descent”—in politics with a
race-baiting, dog-whistling, bull-horning attempt to delegitimize our
nation’s first African American president. Thousands of lies and bigoted
comments later, McConnell remains silent. But now he says this?

Mitch, please.
