Catching up with Folks Across the Third District

I have been traveling the Third District of Mississippi meeting with people and making sure folks know how important Mississippi is to me.

It was great to see Clay Burns, the Mayor of Richland, and State Representative Lance Varner.  I am thankful for their service to their communities and to our state.

I was honored to attend the Irl Dean Rhodes Building dedication at the Hinds Community College Rankin Campus this week. Mr. Rhodes is a graduate and board member of Hinds Community College and has been an advocate for Hinds and our community college system for many years.

Thank you to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks for having me this week at the southeastern conference that was held in Flowood. I enjoyed greeting members from across the Southeast as we discussed ways to better promote the great outdoors and conserve our public land for future generations.

I appreciate Hartfield Academy for giving me the opportunity to speak to the senior class. I always enjoy visiting with our future leaders and encouraging them to become involved in our election process.
