John,

This public health crisis has hit New Yorkers hard. As many of you know, I’ve spent years working on economic development for New York, including through multiple economic and environmental crises. I can tell you from experience, the state can only do so much. The fact is we need the federal government to do its job.

Please help Lindsey get to Washington, D.C. to fight for desperately needed public services and get money into people’s pockets.

We need leaders who recognize that this global pandemic has made the extreme inequality in our nation so much worse than it already was. How we act now will determine how fast we climb our way out of this once the virus has been contained.

That’s why I’ve proposed several plans over the last few weeks that should, and must, be included in the stimulus:

  • $2K / month + $500 per dependent for everyone
  • Free testing and healthcare for any COVID-19 related illnesses
  • Double unemployment benefits
  • Paid Family Leave
  • Hazard pay for frontline workers
  • Continuity grants for small businesses
  • Coverage for freelance and gig workers
  • Rent and mortgage freeze
  • Student debt forgiveness
  • Support for Seniors
  • Expansion of SNAP, housing vouchers, and other public services
  • Mental Healthcare for all
  • Bridge loans to sustain the MTA and other large infrastructure programs

Many of these were already major issues that couldn’t wait even before this crisis hit. If we can’t make this right during a public health crisis, then when?

Please chip in here to ensure Lindsey can bring this fight to Washington.

It is times like this that we are so proud that Lindsey continues to keep this campaign going strong. And we wouldn’t be able to do it without your support.
