John, it's Martin Sheen. There's somebody I want to tell you about.
He's a two-term governor running with Kamala Harris on the top of the ticket, a joyful warrior who eloquently and unapologetically represents Democratic values, and a loving father -- someone you can easily imagine lending you a hand around the house or, yes, even calling a hotline on Thanksgiving for turkey advice.
And no, I'm not talking about Jed Bartlet, my character on The West Wing. I'm talking about Governor Tim Walz, our vice presidential nominee. I know he and Vice President Harris will do a lot of good for our country, especially if folks like you and I do our part by pitching in $5 (matched to $20) to make sure they have a Democratic Senate majority to work with.
Why is your donation today so important? Think about what we've accomplished together over the past four years, John: We've created millions of jobs, invested in American infrastructure, taken action on climate change, and so much more. Our Democratic Senate majority has been a critical part of that progress.
And after four years of digging out from Donald Trump's mistakes, we've all been reminded how important it is to have authenticity in the White House. President Biden has tirelessly worked to grow our middle class, and so has Vice President Harris. Based on his time leading Minnesota, I can tell you Governor Walz is cut from the same cloth.
But building on our accomplishments requires electing genuine, hard-working leaders to more than just the White House. It's also about having like-minded people in Congress who will push progress forward. Securing a Democratic Senate is absolutely crucial to continuing our work into 2025 and beyond.
