Dear Redwoods Supporter,

When you walk into a grove of ancient redwoods and your gaze follows that shaggy bark up and up and up…. Or when your kids stare, entranced, as a park ranger tells them about the wonders of banana slugs…. Or when you stand at the edge of a jagged-cliff coastline, breathing in all that salty air and sunshine....

These are the experiences and places that make California so vibrant and unique. They’re a huge part of why we are so proud to live in the Golden State.

But these priceless natural treasures also face rising climate threats—devastating wildfires, drought, flooding, sea level rise—and they need our help. This November, we can each do our part by voting YES on Prop 4.

Prop 4 is a $10 billion climate-resilience bond that will protect California’s wild places and local communities. It will fund nature-based solutions to:

* Protect wildlife and biodiversity: Prop 4 will safeguard threatened fish and wildlife by preserving habitat and ensuring cleaner air and water. It will help restore streams and rivers and connect wildlife corridors through critical ecosystems—including the redwood forests.

* Preserve iconic forests and coastlines: Prop 4 will help protect our beloved beaches and coastal communities by addressing sea level rise and restoring wetlands that mitigate flooding. It will also improve forest resilience to help prevent catastrophic wildfires.

* Create more parks and green spaces: Prop 4 will improve the health and well-being of all Californians by funding new parks, restoring existing parks and trails, and improving outdoor access. Importantly, at least 40% of Prop 4 funds will support underserved and climate-vulnerable communities.

72% of California voters already believe that the state should prioritize more funding for natural resources conservation. This election, we can put those values into action by voting YES on Prop 4.

This is our chance to show the nation, and the world, what bold climate leadership looks like. In this election, your vote on Prop 4 truly matters.

YES on 4
