** Eyes on the Election: Resources & Community Gathering
------------------------------------------------------------

For many of us, this election season has brought up a range of emotions - from exhausting and fearful to hopeful and inspiring. Racial health equity policies run through every system of government, administration and court, and many are under attack - making this election particularly crucial for champions of health, dignity and well-being. We’re sending our support to everyone who has put thought, time, energy and passion into the future of our country, and especially to those on the front lines of campaigning, advocating and working the polls.

Here are some resources to share with your colleagues and communities:
* Review the Election 2024: What’s at Stake for Health Equity Resource Guide ([link removed]) including candidate comparisons on health care, insurance and public health policy;
* Check out HealthBegins Election Engagement Guide ([link removed]) for tips on how to talk to your community about critical equity issues and encourage action;
* Watch the discussion ([link removed]) on how the election results could impact the recent threats to health equity and actions you can take;
* Register for the Health Equity Community Collaborative’s Post-Election Community Gathering ([link removed]) on Wednesday, November 6th, where we’ll pause, reflect and process this election season and beyond; and
* Don’t forget to check your voter status ([link removed]) and polling location!

Take care,

The Health Leads Team

------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

We’re especially grateful for our funders and donors in this challenging fundraising year ([link removed]) and very excited about the initiatives we have the support to continue in 2025. And yet, we still have a $600,000 gap we need to close by December 31st ([link removed]) to sustain some of our existing programs. We deeply appreciate your help in giving - particularly to our efforts in food security ([link removed]) , maternal health ([link removed]) and innovation/R&D ([link removed]) . Any amount, large or small, helps us continue to both meet the immediate needs of our communities and work to remove systemic barriers to health. Thank you for your continued partnership and investment in our shared vision of health, well-being and dignity,
for every person in every community
